# Show / Hide

### When to use?

When you need to show or hide some block (-s) in text. Variable can be connected to more than one place in a document.

### How end user see it?

Checkbox. Can be checked by default.

### How to create it?

1. Create variable of type **Show / Hide**.
2. Select text in a document that you want to show/hide.
    If selected text has multiple occurrences in a document, it will appear checkbox with text "Connect NNN similar instances in the document".
3. Click **Connect.**
4. Click **Save**.

### How to use it?

**Check** the box **to display** the associated text block.
 **Uncheck** the box **to hide** the associated text block.
